Biomedical Technician

The Senior Biomedical Technician will support the safe, reliable operation of medical equipment used across the healthcare environment. The Senior Biomedical Technician will assist in leading day-to-day service activities, mentor technician, and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and service delivery. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of medical equipment Respond to equipment issues and determine appropriate corrective action to minimize downtime and disruption to patient care Serve as a senior technical resource for Biomedical/Clinical Engineering technicians Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to other technicians Lead daily team huddles and help coordinate service priorities Support equipment installations, replacements, projects, and other clinical engineering initiatives Identify recurring equipment issues and help develop solutions that address root causes rather than temporary fixes Maintain accurate service records, maintenance documentation, and equipment history in the applicable systems Communicate equipment status, technical issues, and service recommendations clearly to nurses, physicians, hospital leadership, and other stakeholders Work with vendors and OEM representatives when specialized service or additional technical support is required Follow applicable safety, regulatory, and organizational requirements for medical equipment maintenance Help improve processes, service delivery, and overall equipment reliability Senior Biomedical Technician Qualifications 2-year technical/electronics degree or equivalent 5+ years of experience working with medical equipment Demonstrate the ability to provide technical leadership, mentor, and guide more junior-level technicians Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
