Processing Technician

Starting training wage: $19.01 per hour
Potential to earn up to $25.44 per hour within 6 to 12 months as you complete training and advance through the role
Open shifts: 2nd and 3rd shift
Location: Westfield, New York

We are hiring Processing Technicians to help manufacture high-quality Welch's food and beverage products safely and efficiently. You will operate processing equipment, prepare and move ingredients, monitor product quality, complete required documentation, and help maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Experience in food or beverage manufacturing is a significant advantage. We also value mechanical aptitude, reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Available Shifts

• 2nd shift: 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with an additional $0.45 per hour shift differential

• 3rd shift: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with an additional $0.50 per hour shift differential

• Overtime may be available based on production needs

What You'll Do

• Operate processing equipment safely and effectively

• Prepare, move, organize, and stage ingredients and materials

• Monitor processing operations to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met

• Complete production, safety, and quality documentation accurately

• Inspect processing equipment and line setups to confirm proper operation

• Identify equipment concerns and request maintenance support when needed

• Confirm adequate supplies and ingredients are available to meet production schedules

• Clean and sanitize processing equipment and work areas

• Maintain strong housekeeping and sanitation standards

• Follow all plant safety, food safety, and personal protective equipment requirements

• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• The ability and willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift in a 24/7 manufacturing operation

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• The ability to follow processing instructions and complete required documentation

• A commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement

• Food or beverage manufacturing experience is strongly preferred

• Previous industrial or manufacturing experience is a plus

• Technical training or a related certificate is also a plus

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Ability to climb stairs and work at elevated levels, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Ability to work in hot and cold environments and in both indoor and outdoor areas

• Ability to work around cleaning and sanitation solutions

• Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment
