Assistant Store Manager Overview As an Assistant Store Manager (ASM), you will work closely with the Store Manager and District Manager to deliver outstanding customer service, oversee daily operations, and lead a team of associates. Your leadership will help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. Key Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in day‑to‑day store operations, including opening and closing procedures. Guide and develop the sales team, ensuring each associate meets performance and customer service goals. Monitor inventory levels, perform regular stock counts, and coordinate replenishment. Enforce safety and compliance standards throughout the store. Handle customer inquiries and complaints, providing timely resolutions. Review and analyze sales reports, identify trends, and recommend actions to boost revenue. Support the scheduling of associates to maintain adequate staffing levels. Collaborate with the Store Manager on promotional and merchandising initiatives. Act as the interim Store Manager in their absence, making executive decisions that align with company policy. Maintain visual merchandising standards and store appearance. Qualifications Minimum 1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a retail environment. Strong customer‑service orientation and communication skills. Ability to work at least 35 hours per week, including weekends and holidays when required. Knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and sales promotion. Proficiency with point‑of‑sale systems and basic computer skills. Compensation & Benefits The position typically offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on location and experience.
