Operations Manager

Overview Of Kinnect Kinnect is an Ohio-based non‑profit organization dedicated to developing KinFirst strategies and delivering programs that strengthen kinship connections and inclusive support networks for families, young people, and children. For 20 years, Kinnect has collaborated with families, public agencies, and private providers to ensure young people and families have the belonging, resources, and relationships they need to thrive. Position Summary The Operations Manager supports the design and deployment of the operational infrastructure required to support Kinnect’s mission and strategic plan. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, leadership team and Board, the Operations Manager aligns resources and processes to achieve key performance indicators and supports effective, mission‑driven operations. The role fosters a culture of trust, transparency, shared accountability, and focuses on improving efficiency, strengthening systems, and addressing operational challenges. Essential Functions Serve as a central point of contact for internal operations, ensuring effective communication across departments. Directly supervise, coach, and support a team of Coordinators to ensure high performance, accountability, and professional growth. Build processes and procedures that align with the organization’s goals. Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to support a high‑performing, team‑oriented culture through effective policies and practices. Act as a member of the leadership team to devise strategies and policies that respond to emerging demands. Serve as primary point of contact with technology vendors, oversee contract administration and compliance, and monitor user experience. Manage MOU, SLA, and contract compliance to resolve vendor performance issues and build positive relationships. Incorporate needs of external partners and internal team members into strategic plans and processes. Monitor special projects for bandwidth and quality; convene regular update meetings and follow up on unresolved issues. Review vendor bills and resolve issues in partnership with Office Coordinators and Finance Team. Coordinate training activities as needed. Represent the organization to Board members with a strong executive presence. Develop and implement new strategies and procedures. Support the Chief Operating Officer and Program Directors in improving, documenting, and tracking performance metrics. Support facilities management, including lease compliance, remote work arrangements, maintenance, employee safety, space planning, and emergency procedures policy development. Education And Qualifications Bachelor’s degree; 3–5 years of related professional experience. 3–5 years of demonstrated operations or non‑profit management experience, including compliance and reporting. Experience supervising and developing a strong team. Non‑profit experience. Track record of successful project management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting, payroll, and information management software. Working Conditions First 90 days will be performed in the Cleveland office with a flexible hybrid arrangement coordinated thereafter. Travel required as needed; must have reliable transportation. Occasional overnight travel. Hybrid Work Model combining remote and on‑site work for staff, partner sites, community events, and direct field service.
