Job Overview Title: Residency Learning and Talent Coordinator (Grant‑Funded) – Camino Nuevo Charter Academy Location: Home Support Office – Los Angeles, CA 90026 Type: Full Time Salary: $70,304.00 – $72,000.00 Shift: 12‑Month program. Hybrid role. About Camino Nuevo Charter Academy and Avance Residency Camino Nuevo Charter Academy (CNCA) is a community of high‑performing public schools serving students from preschool through high school in the under‑resourced neighborhood of MacArthur Park south of downtown Los Angeles. The Avance Residency is a one‑year, teacher‑preparation program for candidates from Central and South Los Angeles, led by CNCA with partners including Para Los Niños, STEM Preparatory Schools, New LA Charter and Loyola Marymount University. Responsibilities Coach a cohort of Resident Teachers through observational cycles to ensure readiness for the preliminary credential. Collaborate with Avance Mentor Teachers and LMU Fieldwork Instructors to align feedback for Resident Teachers. Participate in Avance Seminar to support resident learning and development. Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract diverse candidates, especially from historically marginalized communities. Plan and execute social media recruitment campaigns to promote the program and engage potential candidates. Build relationships with schools, consortium liaisons, and key stakeholders to expand Avance’s recruitment network. Conduct outreach, attend career fairs, and organize recruitment events to showcase program benefits. Manage the application and selection process, including logistics, selection committee coordination and candidate communications. Provide one‑to‑one meetings and support for applicants, residents and program alumni. Support cohorts of Avance graduates with pending credential and induction requirements through regular check‑ins and collaborative success plans. Track and maintain accurate records for residents, mentors and partners using Avance Data Home and other tracking systems. Provide administrative support: manage logistics, prepare materials, support meetings, professional development, convenings and events. Ensure compliance with administrative procedures and regulations, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Process invoices and monitor grant reporting requirements. Liaise with Avance applicants and LMU teams (admissions and advising) and CNCA Human Resources. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid Clear California Multiple Subject or Single Subject Teaching Credential or equivalent. Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Experience working with new teachers as a peer mentor or instructional coach. Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing in a recruitment context. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred: Experience leading professional learning.
