Job Title Regional Safety Advisor I Location Auburn, MA Start Date ASAP Duration Permanent Type Direct Hire, Full-Time Compensation Rate: $75,000-$85,000 annually Per Diem: None Available Pay Frequency: Weekly Schedule Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule: Full-time, primarily field-based Shift: Day Shift Project Scope The Regional Safety Advisor I will provide safety oversight for new construction and renovation projects throughout the Auburn, Massachusetts region. Projects may include commercial, industrial, institutional, energy, infrastructure, and wastewater facilities. This role is approximately 80% field-based and 20% office-based. The advisor will typically visit five to eight job sites each week, although larger or more complex assignments may require focused support on one or two projects. Primary hazards include roadway traffic, excavation, trenching, shoring, fall exposure, and proper PPE use. The company promotes a coaching-focused safety culture. The successful candidate will build rapport with field teams, reinforce safe work practices, and help employees resolve safety concerns through collaboration rather than enforcement alone. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Safety or a closely related field, or very close to degree completion One to two years of construction safety experience Understanding of common construction hazards and controls Ability to work effectively with field personnel and project leadership Strong communication and relationship-building skills Additional Requirements Ability to work approximately 80% in the field and 20% in the office Ability to travel between multiple regional project sites Comfortable visiting an average of five to eight sites per week Willingness to participate in meetings, reporting, investigations, and documentation Ability to work on-site with no remote-work arrangement Full benefits package included Company vehicle and fuel card provided Key Responsibilities Provide field safety support across multiple active construction projects Identify and communicate hazards involving traffic, excavations, trenches, shoring, fall exposure, and PPE Coach employees and project teams on safe work practices Build strong working relationships with field personnel and leadership Conduct routine site visits, observations, and safety follow-upsParticipate in incident investigations and corrective-action discussions Prepare safety reports and maintain required documentation Collaborate with project teams during meetings and planning activities Support consistent implementation of company safety expectations Skills Construction hazard recognition Field safety coaching Relationship building Safety inspections and observations Incident investigation support Written and verbal communication Reporting and documentation Multi-project coordination Knowledge Base Working knowledge of construction safety practices related to roadway traffic, excavation, trenching, shoring, fall protection, and personal protective equipment. Familiarity with field inspections, hazard identification, safety documentation, incident-investigation support, and collaborative coaching techniques is important for success in this position.
