Shipping Specialist

Location: Santa Fe Springs

Schedule: Monday - Friday | Start Time Between 7:00A-4:30P

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Work Environment: 100% On-Site (Will Call Office)

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for coordinating daily shipping operations, processing orders, maintaining accurate shipment records, and supporting customers and drivers within the Will Call office. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and coordinate outgoing shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

• Prepare shipping documentation, packing lists, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.

• Utilize company systems to track, update, and manage shipment information.

• Maintain accurate shipping records and generate reports using Microsoft Excel.

• Coordinate with warehouse, customer service, and transportation teams to resolve shipment issues.

• Verify order accuracy prior to shipment and customer pickup.

• Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipment status.

• Monitor inventory and shipment discrepancies and assist in resolving issues.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, shipping procedures, and safety standards.

• Maintain a professional and organized work environment within the Will Call office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Strong computer skills are required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to learn new software systems; training will be provided.

• Previous experience in a shipping, logistics, warehouse, or distribution environment is preferred.

• Previous shipping department experience is a plus.

They are comfortable working in an office environment within a warehouse setting and can efficiently handle multiple priorities while delivering exceptional service.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour
