Job Description
The Borough of Weissport is accepting applications for the position of Secretary/Treasurer. This is a key administrative role responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Borough office and assisting Borough Council in carrying out its duties.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
· Preparing agendas, minutes, and correspondence for Borough Council.
· Maintaining official Borough records and files.
· Managing Borough finances, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, audits and budget preparation.
· Collecting Borough revenues.
· Assisting the public with Borough-related inquiries and services.
· Ensuring compliance with Borough ordinances, policies, and applicable state regulations.
Qualifications:
· Previous municipal or government administrative experience preferred.
· Strong bookkeeping and financial management skills.
· Proficiency with MSOffice (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Quickbooks online
· Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information.
· Part-time position · Competitive salary
