Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 3+ years of applied experience.
• We need hands-on experience with AWS and container platforms such as EKS and/or ECS.
• We expect experience using Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools to provision and manage environments.
• We look for strong troubleshooting skills across Linux, networking fundamentals, and application or runtime behavior.
• We require working knowledge of incident and change management practices, including clear communication and disciplined execution.
• We value scripting and automation experience, such as Bash, Python, or Perl, along with exposure to CI/CD tooling.
• We require hands-on use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to critically review and refine AI-generated output for correctness, performance, and security.
• We expect understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
• We look for a solid understanding of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Preferred: hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Preferred: experience with Splunk for search, dashboards, alert tuning, and log onboarding.
• Preferred: hands-on experience with Akamai CDN configuration, caching strategy, edge troubleshooting, and CSP implementation.

• We execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, taking a creative approach to complex technical problems.
• We manage, scale, and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure with a focus on containerized workloads running on EKS and ECS.
• We provision and maintain infrastructure using Terraform to support repeatable, standards-based deployments across environments.
• We support and improve CI/CD pipelines for application and AI-enabled feature releases, including deployment automation, rollback support, and environment promotion.
• We collaborate with engineering teams to implement operational best practices such as health checks, readiness, scaling, and resiliency patterns.
• We leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables, while validating output through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
• We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value of automation.
• We administer and optimize Akamai CDN configurations for performance, caching, and edge troubleshooting.
• We implement and maintain Akamai Client Side Protection configurations and support web security controls to help reduce client-side threats.
• We support certificate lifecycle activities, including CSR generation, SAN and hostname validation, chain deployment, renewal coordination, and scheduling changes to minimize downtime.
• We follow secure operational practices around secrets handling, access controls, and vulnerability remediation coordination.
• We build and maintain dashboards and alerts using tools such as Splunk and metrics-based monitoring to improve early detection and reduce false positives.
• We participate in incident response, including triage, escalation, mitigation, stakeholder updates, and post-incident follow-up.
• We contribute to root cause analysis and implement preventative fixes to reduce recurrence.
• We create and maintain operational documentation such as runbooks, SOPs, and on-call playbooks.
• We support change management through peer review, risk awareness, pre- and post-checks, and safe execution during maintenance windows.
