Lead Software Engineer - SRE/DevOps - Java/Python

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal software development training or certification, with 5+ years of applied experience in SRE, DevOps, platform engineering, or a similar field
• Proficiency managing cloud-based services in AWS using IaC or EaC tools such as Terraform or equivalent
• Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Proficiency with observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, and Datadog
• Advanced programming capability in Java and Python
• Experience with automation and continuous delivery approaches
• Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
• Strong understanding of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Demonstrated capability with software applications and technical processes in a technical discipline such as cloud, AI, machine learning, or mobile
• Fluent English communication skills
• Preferred: AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate
• Preferred: Experience with SRE/DevOps practices, including SLAs/SLOs, error budgets, MTTR, and MTTD
• Preferred: Knowledge of RAG architectures and exposure to AI/automation technologies that improve operations
• Preferred: Understanding of the financial services industry and its IT systems

• Partner with product, architecture, security, and operations teams to prioritize reliability and embed best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
• Lead the development of resilient software solutions that improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of branch systems
• Facilitate evaluation sessions with internal and external teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and fit within existing systems and information architecture
• Develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
• Lead communities of practice across software engineering to increase awareness and adoption of emerging technologies
