Night Auditor
The Night Auditor works at the front desk of a hotel during the overnight, and they must ensure that the quality and integrity of the establishment are maintained just as diligently as they are during the day. Primarily responsible for overseeing the financial and customer service operations, with daily duties and responsibilities including:
- Managing front desk activity and handling guest check-ins and check-outs
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by scheduling wake-up-calls and other concierge activities according to guest preference
- Handling customer requests and complaints.
- Managing and updating all official documentation pertaining to the role
- Ensuring that all end-of-day activities have been successfully executed by employees in all departments
- Answering calls and queries related to potential booking
- Perform accounting duties such as reviewing, balancing, and compiling the daily financial transactions of the hotel
- Prepare daily reports and balance transactions
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
- Resolve guest complaints or call in maintenance crew for repairs
- Handle cash transactions and process payments
- Perform security walks of the hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees
- Respond to emergencies and notify the appropriate authorities if necessary
- Begin set up for Breakfast
