Senior Business Analyst

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst to serve as the liaison between our business partners and the technical development team. This role is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, validating, specifying, verifying, prioritizing and managing stakeholder business needs from initial discovery through successful implementation. Partner closely with business units, subject matter experts, customers, end users, technical resources, and vendor partners to identify business needs and define effective solutions. Translate business objectives into clear, actionable requirements and designs, and support the development effort through completion. Balance usability, performance, data integrity, delivery risk, and technical feasibility while helping stakeholders make informed decisions. Elicit requirements through interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis. Critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements. Define and document internal and external user interfaces, and clarify system and data requirements. Drive and challenge business units on assumptions about how they will successfully execute their plans. Work with functional leads to transform new business requirements into designs and implementation plans. Interface with vendor partners to design optimal solutions and integrations. Create and maintain workflows, approval processes, and validation rules based on internal stakeholder requirements. Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and assess tradeoffs between usability and performance. Partner with internal and external peer groups to design and implement solutions. Develop, maintain, and execute processes that continuously monitor data quality and integrity across platform applications. Assist with quality assurance, including defining the testing strategy, identifying risks, and supporting validation of delivered solutions. Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle to maintain traceability, alignment, and delivery quality. Assist with troubleshooting reports of production environment defects from intake to resolution. Maintain courteous and professional working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders through excellent active listening, verbal communication, and business writing. Adapt to shifting priorities and demands while maintaining focus on business outcomes. Mentor and influence others through example.

Required: Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst or comparable business analysis role. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse personality types. Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaborate effectively with personnel across departments. Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and time management skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and prioritize workload effectively. Self-motivated, creative, and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems. Ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams and communicate with colleagues in both business and technical roles. Strong work ethic and a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.
