Senior Operations Analyst: Process Excellence & Strategy

Position Overview The Business Operations Senior Analyst reports to the ERIK Senior Business Operations Manager and supports special initiatives designed to enhance cross‑functional and cross‑unit process alignment. The analyst provides strategic process improvements within research operations, focusing on continuous improvement, high‑quality customer service, and efficient, accurate, and compliant work products. Responsibilities Monitor key business processes within ERIK business operations. Ensure timely and accurate execution of project activities. Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership and internal stakeholders. Develop job aids, standard operating procedures, workflow documentation, and data visualization tools to support consistent business practices across the research enterprise. Contribute to strategic planning efforts, support process improvement initiatives, conduct data analysis and benchmarking, and lead or assist with special projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Visio. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders such as faculty, finance, and research administration. Desired Qualifications 4–8 years of relevant experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, commitment to professional development. Experience with data analysis and reporting. Energetic, creative problem‑solving approach. Competence in technical and cognitive skills necessary for essential responsibilities. Experience with Ohio State policies and systems. Application Materials Resume is required.
