Our goal is for each child to understand how much God loves them, how to love those around them, get a GREAT first taste of school, and a STRONG academic foundation to launch them into their learning years. As a staff member at HSA, you can expect to have awesome co-workers, a loving, supportive environment, flexibility for family, and a strong career path.ChildrenIn communication with the teacher, be responsible for teaching and guiding the children in the classroom, providing proper supervision, maintaining appropriate records, and communicating when necessary information to the teacher, students, parents, director, or authoritiesUse personal experience to be responsible for the growth and maintenance of a rich spiritual atmosphere in the classroom, on the playground, and with children, employees, and parentsGive full attention to the class and be responsible for the safety and physical well-being of the children, never leaving them unsupervised. Interact with the childrenTake children to the restroom and provide supervision and help in changing their clothes when necessary (another adult MUST be with you)If a child becomes ill, isolate him/her and report the illness to the Assistant Teacher/DirectorGuide children to wash their hands during the day, especially after art activities, before and after snack, and toiletingClassroomAssist with advance preparation and cleanup. Include appropriate experiences in Bible, and all other subject areasRequest materials needed for projects and communicate to the Teacher/Director when supplies are depleted.Participate in activities designed for parents such as parent conferences, open house, and other special programs as required by the directorAssist the teacher with the organization of materials and supplies, inventory equipment and supplies, and keep equipment in good repairStaffAttend devotions, staff meetings, workshops, and conferencesSet up conference times with the director in case of staff difficultiesPresent yourself as a Christian professional in attitude, dress, and action at all timesFollow policies established by the Administration of the preschoolCooperate with other employees to keep a happy, wholesome atmospherePhysical Qualifications: -Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs, kneel, run, and be able to physically attend to energetic toddlers.-Must have excellent written and spoken English communication skills
