You understand each customer’s needs, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with the right products and services. What You Will Do Greet and connect with customers in a friendly and genuine way. Recommend products by asking questions to identify customer needs and inspire purchases. Offer options and solutions to complete the sale. Wrap up the moment to close the customer’s shopping journey, celebrating their purchases. Master store products, services, loyalty programs, and Macy’s sales systems to help customers find what they need and suggest additional items. Maintain department recovery standards, including selling floor and fitting rooms. Deliver optimal merchandise execution, ensure accurate pricing, and process markdowns accurately. Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities. Skills You Will Need Product Knowledge: Understand products and give expert guidance based on customer wants and features. Communication: Comfortable communicating with customers virtually, via phone, and in person. Sales: Build relationships, achieve sales goals, and participate in pre‑selling and sales‑boosting events. Technology: Utilize point‑of‑sale technology and applications to fulfill customer orders. Continuous Learning: Self‑driven to keep up with product knowledge and trends through Macy’s educational resources. No education or experience required. Essential Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing or walking around the store (at least two consecutive hours). Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment. Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and color vision. Lifting, moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders. Lifting and moving items weighing up to 30 lbs.
