Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Coordinator to support the Program Manager on the HR1 Program , a high-visibility initiative focused on reducing SNAP error rates and improving program performance.

The Project Coordinator will support multiple projects and work closely with business, operations, policy, technology, and leadership teams. This position will be responsible for coordinating project activities, tracking milestones and action items, supporting leadership meetings, monitoring risks and dependencies, and preparing executive-level reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple projects and initiatives supporting the HR1 Program and SNAP error-reduction efforts.

• Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, dependencies, issues, and corrective action plans.

• Coordinate with business, operations, policy, technology, and other stakeholder groups to maintain alignment.

• Prepare executive summaries, dashboards, status reports, and presentations for senior leadership and Cabinet-level stakeholders.

• Schedule and facilitate leadership, governance, and operational meetings.

• Prepare meeting agendas, materials, notes, and action-item trackers.

• Follow up with stakeholders to ensure action items and deliverables are completed on time.

• Monitor program performance and highlight key metrics, issues, accomplishments, and areas requiring attention.

• Support continuous improvement and operational effectiveness initiatives.

• Assist the Program Manager with day-to-day program coordination and reporting activities.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in project coordination, program coordination, PMO support, or project/program management .

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.

• Experience tracking project milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience preparing status reports, dashboards, executive summaries, or other management-level reporting .

• Experience coordinating meetings involving multiple stakeholders and leadership teams.

• Ability to work effectively across business, operational, policy, and technology teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting government or public-sector programs .

• Experience in human services, healthcare, benefits administration, or social services .

• Experience with SNAP, Medicaid, eligibility operations, or other public assistance programs .

• Experience supporting compliance, quality improvement, performance management, or operational improvement initiatives.

• Familiarity with program performance metrics and error-rate reduction initiatives.

Location Requirement

Local Connecticut candidates only. This is a hybrid position based in Hartford, CT , and candidates must be able to work onsite as required.
