Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established safety and collection procedures
• Prepare and label specimens accurately, verifying patient demographics and ensuring tubes are labeled in their presence
• Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment during patient interactions
• Verify patient signatures and demographic information post-venipuncture for specimen labeling accuracy
• Document and maintain required records and documentation related to patient specimen collection
• Travel between multiple sites within the region to provide flexible phlebotomy services as scheduled
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety, dress code, and confidentiality standards
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service

Required Skills

• Proven ability to perform phlebotomy accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood collection
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver license with a clean driving record
• Proficiency with data entry and specimen documentation

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington
• 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience preferred, including pediatric and geriatric collections
• Experience working in a Patient Service Center environment is highly desirable
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
• Must have own reliable transportation for traveling between multiple work locations; mileage can be submitted for reimbursement
• Must be punctual, dependable, and committed to maintaining high-quality, error-free work
