Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Acute Rehabilitation Unit
This is a 13-week contract position.
Day shift: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM, with guaranteed hours of 32 per week. Expect to work every other weekend.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Acute Rehabilitation Unit. The SLP will engage with adult rehabilitation patients who have a variety of diagnoses, including neurological, orthopedic, and other medical conditions that require ARU level of care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapy interventions to improve patients' communication and swallowing abilities.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress in an EHR system (Meditech).
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in California.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Experience in Acute Rehabilitation, particularly with MBS/VFSS, is preferred, but candidates with varying levels of experience are welcome to apply.
