Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency DepartmentWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Emergency Department. This position requires experience in a Level II Trauma Center and involves the care of adult and pediatric patients with emergent, urgent, and non-urgent conditions. Responsibilities include triage, urgent care, and management of various medical issues.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.Perform assessments, identify nursing diagnoses, and implement appropriate interventions.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including chest tubes, TPA, and breathing treatments.Conduct cardioversion and defibrillation as required.Utilize cooling/warming blankets and manage LVAD/Impella devices.Obtain 12 Lead EKGs and operate rapid infusers.Conduct trach care and provide care for patients requiring rapid sequence intubation (RSI) drugs.Care for pediatric patients, accounting for approximately 20% of the caseload.QualificationsMust possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department.Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.Experience in a Level II Trauma Center is mandatory.Travelers with less than 1 year of experience will not be accepted.Shift DetailsThis position requires availability for night shifts, specifically 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Block scheduling is offered.Unit InformationThis role will involve working in the Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department, including areas of ED Holding, Triage, and Urgent Care, addressing conditions such as chest pain, shortness of breath, weakness, and abdominal pain.Join our team and make a difference in the lives of patients during their time of need!
