Laboratory Assistant
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigators (PIs) at UCLA's Anxiety and Depression Research Center (ADRC) and Culture and Anxiety Lab for Mental Health Advances (CALMA), the Laboratory Assistant will oversee and manage recruitment, attend weekly meetings, and maintain organization of a largescale NIMH-funded project which examines the efficacy of a mindfulness program in youth at risk for anxiety. This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in gaining skills in clinical psychology research.
UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications
- Experience conducting structured interviews. (Preferred)
- Experience with online questionnaire platforms such as SPSS and Qualtrics. (Preferred)
- Exceptional interpersonal/communication skills to build and maintain a positive working environment for all members of the research team; maintain positive working relationships with study participants to aid in retention. (Required)
- Ability to display sensitivity to clinical populations. (Required)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all participant information. (Preferred)
- Exceptional organizational skills, able to pay attention to detail. (Required)
- Ability to problem solve, anticipate potential problems, and offer solutions. (Required)

- Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
- Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
- CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA. The employee must sign the "Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse".
