You may also assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned, ensuring smooth operations and quality patient outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess patients and identify their care needs promptly and accurately.Organize and deliver appropriate nursing care based on patient assessments.Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care strategies.Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.Recognize and respond effectively to life-threatening situations.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.Monitor care quality using outcome-oriented indicators.Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.Adapt care to meet age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs.Support patients' cultural and spiritual beliefs within medical guidelines.EducationAssociate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.ExperienceNo prior experience required; new graduates are welcome to apply.RequirementsCurrent Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Effective organizational and leadership abilities.Understanding of age-specific physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual patient needs.Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift frequently; may involve exposure to blood or infectious materials.
