The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to pediatric patients in a Med/Surg setting. Responsibilities include performing patient assessments, monitoring vital signs and changes in condition, administering medications and treatments, managing IV therapy and other prescribed interventions, maintaining accurate patient records, and communicating changes in patient status to the appropriate healthcare team. The RN will also educate patients and families, coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals, follow infection-control and safety protocols, and support patients throughout their recovery and rehabilitation process.

Education & License

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Active, unencumbered RN license appropriate for the facility/state
• Current BLS/CPR certification

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute-care experience in a hospital, LTAC, or inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF)
• Pediatric Med/Surg or other acute-care pediatric experience preferred
• Experience caring for patients with complex medical needs and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team is preferred.
