Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide expert nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department, ensuring patient safety and comfort through clinical excellence and compassionate service. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely interventions and support critical care needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer emergency treatments, including critical care gtts, sedation, and code response, following established protocols.
• Assess patient conditions rapidly to determine priorities and implement appropriate interventions.
• Perform advanced procedures such as intubation, chest tube insertion, and splinting with precision and adherence to standards.
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EDM, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements.
• Participate in team collaboration to promote a patient-centered approach emphasizing compassion and care.
• Maintain current certifications and skills, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI, and stay updated on emergency care best practices.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience.
• Proven experience managing critical care medications, sedation, ESI, and codes.
• Demonstrated proficiency in trauma procedures and awareness of STEMI, stroke, and sepsis protocols.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to a dynamic emergency environment.
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI.
