About the Position

Shift: 7p-7a, every other weekend and holidays as required. (Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week) ? Start: 9/14/2026 (biweekly orientation) 

Requirements

Certs: AHA BLS, NIHSS required. AHA PALS preferred, if working in pediatric unit.
License: AL or Compact License (No temp Licenses accepted) 
Must have experience/skill set: 2 years of recent CVICU experience is required.
Must have ASN degree. 
Floating: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.

Unit Info: Our Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) is a four 4-bed unit that directs its resources principally towards the care of adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular and other surgical conditions requiring critical care located on 4 North. The care of these patients is primarily focused on post-operative recovery and providing complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring. Nurses must exhibit high levels of professional competency. CSU is an 8-bed stepdown unit. The stepdown unit focuses on the care and recovery of patients after cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery.
