For the last two years we have concentrated nearly all of our R&D capacity — and a disproportionate amount of founder and executive attention — on Bionic, our proprietary AI architecture. That work defined a new category: Cloud Workforce Operations , the continuous management of the systems that determine how a workforce operates, including its people, policies, performance, communication, compliance, and organizational health. Instead of waiting for a company to ask for help, the system observes what is happening, understands what should be true, identifies the gaps, decides what happens next, and coordinates or executes the work to close them. That work now positions us to pursue Autonomous Workforce Management: systems that continuously understand a company, reason about its state, coordinate work, execute, verify outcomes, and get more capable with every completed operation. Why We Work Differently Traditional companies were built around the limitations of information. Knowledge sits inside departments. Data sits in separate systems. Specialists hold individual pieces of context, managers coordinate specialists, and meetings synchronize managers. A large share of most organizations exists to move information around and reconcile it across functional lines. A common intelligence architecture changes that constraint. At Bambee it increasingly holds context across the company, analyzes information, flags exceptions, coordinates activity, executes repeatable work, and learns from the results. So we organize around systems and outcomes instead of functions — and we do not assume that every increase in complexity requires another specialist, or that every increase in volume requires another employee. Our operating principle is Outcome → Intelligence → System → Human Judgment → Headcount. The order is intentional. When more capacity is needed, we define the outcome, determine what our intelligence already knows, decide what the system should be able to do, identify which repeatable work can be automated, and locate where human judgment creates disproportionate value. Only then do we add people. The General Manager is one of the leaders who builds that way. About the Role The General Manager owns Bambee's Innovation-to-Value System: turning new technologies, products, capabilities, and market opportunities into validated, repeatable businesses that create both customer value and enterprise value. You will usually start with something incomplete — an emerging technology, a product thesis, a new capability, a customer problem, a market insight. Your job is to determine whether it can become something customers meaningfully value, whether Bambee can build an attractive business around it, and then to make that outcome real. You own the full progression: productization, commercialization, adoption, economics, repeatability, scale, and enterprise value. You will operate across Product, Technology, Finance, Growth, Product Marketing, Operations, and executive leadership, because the outcome you own crosses all of them. You are not here to coordinate those functions. You are here to make sure the complete system works. Your judgment is the center of this job — product, market, economic, systems, and commercial judgment, all exercised under ambiguity. What You Will Own

1. Innovation into products. Working with Frontier, Product, and Platform leadership, you will translate new technology, intelligence, and emerging capabilities into coherent products and commercial offerings. You will identify the customer problem an innovation uniquely solves, determine what has to be true for a customer to feel real value, and tell interesting technology apart from technology that can become a business. The objective is not shipping features — it is products customers understand, adopt, pay for, and keep using.
2. Products into markets. You will own the commercial system connecting what Bambee builds to the customers who should value it: the initial customer, the highest-value use cases, pricing and packaging, category and positioning, route to market, and the acquisition, sales, onboarding, adoption, and expansion motions that establish demand. You will work closely with Product Marketing and Growth, and you remain accountable for whether the whole thing produces adoption. A launch is the start, not the end state.
3. Markets into economics. You will own whether the business works economically. You should be able to reason independently about ACV, CAC, conversion, payback, retention, expansion, gross and contribution margin, service cost, pricing, plan mix, and revenue growth — not just what happened, but which variables produced it and which interventions will move it. Finance will be a deep partner and will build the economic infrastructure, but Finance does not own whether your business makes economic sense. You do. The objective is not revenue at any cost; it is durable economic value.
4. Early success into repeatability. Early success is usually messy, manual, and hard to distinguish from noise. You will find the signal: what actually caused the win, which mechanisms repeat and which were heroic individual execution. Then you will convert what works into reusable systems — removing handoffs, reducing dependence on specific people, automating repeatable work, and building feedback loops so every customer and experiment improves the system. The objective is not one good launch. It is a system that produces the outcome again.
5. Repeatability into scale. Once the system works, you own its expansion. Scale here does not mean adding people in proportion to volume; it means increasing the productive capacity of the system itself. You will identify the real constraints on growth and decide whether each should be solved with intelligence, automation, product capability, process redesign, platform infrastructure, or human judgment — building only the organization the system genuinely requires, while protecting customer value, quality, and economics as the business grows.

The Backgrounds We Find Most Interesting We are not optimizing for people who followed a conventional path to this title. The strongest candidate may have never held it. What we look for is repeated movement across technology, product, market, economics, and direct operating ownership: Former founder or entrepreneur who carried an idea through product, customers, pricing, go-to-market, economics, hiring, and operations Early-stage operator at a breakout company , there while boundaries were still porous, who helped turn an emerging product into a real business before the org specialized Product leader with true P&L ownership — pricing, monetization, adoption, retention, revenue, and unit economics, not just delivery Technical operator who became commercial , with real depth in engineering, data, AI, or technical product before crossing into market strategy and commercialization Strategy, investing, or consulting leader who became an operator , and crossed from evaluating businesses into building or running one A nonlinear résumé can be an advantage here. We care about the pattern of responsibility you have accumulated and the systems you have built, more than whether your titles progressed neatly. What We Look For Boundary-crossing depth. You can reason independently across product, technology, market, economics, and operations. You do not need to be world-class at all of them; you do need enough literacy that no single function becomes a black box you have to accept without understanding. We call this functional sovereignty — collaborating deeply with specialists without giving up your ability to reason about the outcome yourself. Zero-to-one-to-scale ownership. You have taken something unproven, made it real, and carried it far enough to establish customer value, economic viability, repeatability, and scale. You are comfortable deciding before all the information exists, you can tell evidence from enthusiasm, you use data rigorously without confusing data for judgment, and you change direction quickly when reality requires it. System-building leverage. You do not just operate work well, you redesign how it gets done — simplifying systems, automating repeatable activity, removing coordination and bottlenecks, and building mechanisms that create substantially more value without proportional increases in people. Your instinct is not to run the existing machine more efficiently. It is to ask whether a better machine should exist. And you would rather deliver a hard truth early than a comfortable explanation after the outcome has already been missed.
