Accounts Receivable Specialist

Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist Compensation: $25 - $27 /hour, depending on experience Location: Houston, Texas Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team! The company is seeking a detail-oriented professional to ensure accurate payment postings and support multi-location operations. Key Responsibilities & Duties Accurately post customer payments via various methods Reconcile daily deposits across multiple locations Identify and resolve unapplied cash and misapplied transactions Process refunds and adjustments per company policy Monitor aging reports and follow up on delinquent accounts Assist with bad debt analysis and month-end reporting Serve as primary contact for billing inquiries Collaborate with funeral directors to resolve discrepancies Prepare AR reports including aging summaries Support monthly close activities and reconciliations Required Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or GED required 2–4 years of accounts receivable experience Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems Strong Excel skills, including sorting and filtering High level of accuracy and detail orientation Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities Nice to Have Skills & Experience Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred Experience with multi-location operations Familiarity with merchant services and online payment platforms 3 different medical health insurance plans, dental, and vision insurance Voluntary and Long-term disability insurance Paid time off, 401k, and holiday pay Weekly direct deposit or pay card deposit If you are interested in learning more about the Accounts Receivable Specialist opportunity, please submit your resume for consideration.
