Hello, my name is Andree DeCastro, and I’m the founder and supervisor at our small group practice in Astoria Queens.

I’m currently looking for a compassionate, pre-licensed counselor to join our team. Our work is deeply rooted in community, connection, and culturally responsive care. As a supervisor, I’m hands-on and truly invested in the growth of each therapist I work with. We meet weekly for both individual and group supervision, and I strive to create a warm, collaborative environment where your voice is heard and your development is supported.

We’re seeking a  dedicated pre-licensed counselor to provide culturally responsive care to our diverse community. This role is ideal for someone eager to make a difference, with the benefit of  attentive supervision, group case consultation, and a flexible hybrid schedule to support your journey toward licensure.

What You’ll Do

• Provide individual and group therapy under the supervision of a Licensed Mental Health Counselor
• Support the development and implementation of personalized treatment plans
• Build trust and rapport with clients while promoting emotional growth and resilience
• Facilitate therapeutic activities and use motivational interviewing to enhance engagement
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using ICD-10 standards
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
• Participate in weekly group supervision and ongoing professional development

Who You Ar e

• Master’s-level clinician (e.g., MHC-LP or equivalent) working toward licensure
• Passionate about mental health and committed to culturally sensitive care
• Experience OR interest in working with kids, or adolescence or young adults
• Knowledge of art therapy and creative interventions is a plus
• Professional, empathetic, and eager to grow
