We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to oversee and grow our sales team, which includes Inside Sales Representatives, Dealer Business Development Managers, and Enterprise-Level Sales Professionals. What will you do? Carpool is looking for an ambitious Head of Dealer Sales to take our dealership business to the next level. You will bring your experience and knowledge of revenue generation within the dealership space as well as your ability to hire, train and develop a highly performing sales team. This is a leadership driven, player‑coach role. You will be closing your own accounts, be responsible for hiring top talent, coaching performance, building repeatable sales processes, and driving revenue growth—particularly within automotive dealerships. This is an ideal role for a sales leader who understands how dealerships buy, how dealership decision‑makers think, how to close new business, and how to build high‑performing teams in the automotive space. Responsibilities: Sales Leadership & Team Management Find and attract new clients to the Carpool Logistics team and platform using your deep network at the dealership level. Lead, mentor, and develop a multi‑layered sales team across inside sales, dealer account management, and enterprise sales. Set clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability standards. Conduct regular coaching, pipeline reviews, deal strategy sessions, and performance evaluations. Foster a high‑energy, disciplined, and results‑driven sales culture Hiring, Training & Development Own recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of new sales hires. Build structured training programs focused on selling into auto dealerships, transportation logistics solutions, objection handling, pricing conversations, and relationship selling. Continue to develop sales talent and create clear career paths within the organization. Revenue & Pipeline Management Drive consistent pipeline growth, forecast accuracy, and revenue performance and partner with leadership to set sales targets and headcount plans. Improve sales processes, CRM usage, and reporting while identifying opportunities for long‑term account growth. You will leverage your deep knowledge of dealership operations, pain points, and buying behavior to support complex or high‑value deals when needed. You will also ensure messaging and value propositions resonate with dealership principals, GMs, and enterprise stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field preferred. 7+ years of experience within automotive dealership business 3+ years of experience managing, hiring, and developing sales teams Proven success selling into auto dealerships (B2B automotive sales) Strong understanding of dealership workflows, margins, and decision‑making structures Track record of building scalable sales processes and high‑performing teams Strong problem‑solving and relationship‑building skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally. Strategic thinker with the ability to deliver creative programs and solutions. Creative problem‑solving, detail‑oriented, and strong organization skills. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Onsite at the Atlanta HQ – some travel required including for training, client visits and conferences.
