Food Service Worker

Under direction of an assigned supervisor, performs routine quantity food preparation and serving; maintains food service facilities in a clean and sanitary condition; performs related work as required.

This is an Open and Promotional recruitment. To fill positions at sites including but not limited to Edison HS, Fountain Valley HS, Huntington Beach HS, Marina HS, Ocean View HS, and Westminster HS; and to create an eligibility list for future vacancies and create a substitute list. This is a continuous examination and Personnel Commission Rule 4230.12 is in effect: 4230.12 Continuous Examinations B. Applications shall be accepted every day or until sufficient applications are received. Examinations shall be given as the need arises. In accordance with Personnel Commission Rule 4240.1.D, the eligibility list will be valid for six months and used for future vacancies throughout the District during that time span. Final selection of appointees will be made from the top three ranks who are "ready and willing" to accept an assignment. Personnel Commission Rule 4240.1 F: When fewer than three (3) ranks of available eligible candidates remain on an eligibility list and the appointing authority has requested certification of additional eligible candidates, the list may be terminated by the Personnel Director.
