Operations Manager

Embassy Suites is currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our growing team! The Operations Manager is responsible for achieving budgeted revenue/profits while maintaining operational and service standards.

Essential Duties:

1. Provides positive direction for assigned operational units in the hotel.
2. Demonstrates strong leadership and interpersonal skills along with competitive drive and initiative.
3. Manages hotel departments as assigned and deemed appropriate.
4. Manage all F&B operations at the unit, ensuring quality standards are maintained in terms of product, service, safety and sanitation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures brand and company standards are communicated, understood, achieved and maintained.
• Creates an operating environment that assures consistent guest satisfaction.
• Monitors the performance of the hotel through verification and analysis of guest satisfaction systems and financial reports. Initiates

corrective action.

Lead, direct and administer all F&B operations to include, but not limited to, of systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, purchasing and inventory control, department management

• Maintains product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations and investigating complaints. Initiates corrective action.
• Establishes and maintains a positive employee climate to meet or exceed guest expectations. Maintains an appropriate level of community

involvement.

• Executes marketing, sales, and operational activities, producing results that meet or exceed the hotel's business plan.
• Ensures good safety practices of associates and guests, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.
• Understands all regulations to ensure the hotel is operated in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations, and requirements
• Ensures cooperative work environment between all departments; knowledgeable about all fundamental work processes.
• Inspect the hotel to ensure all tour paths and units are ready and standards are being met..
• Manage vendor contracts, department budgets, labor hours, associate schedules, and associate meetings
• Assists the General Manager with all aspects of operations.
• Assumes community responsibility in the absence of the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hotel and management experience.
• Experience as a General Manager at a similar hotel
• A proven track record of meeting budgets, an understanding of P&L statements, budgets, and cost/inventory control.
• Field management experience preferred and a sales background is a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and PC (Windows-based software) skills will be required.
• Proven track record of service and financial success.
