Join Virginia’s First Dedicated Psychiatric Emergency Department Location: Hampton, Virginia Facility: Riverside Mental Health & Recovery Center (RMHRC) Riverside Medical Group is seeking full-time physicians—board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Psychiatry trained physicians —to join our innovative Psychiatric Emergency Department (PED) at Riverside Mental Health & Recovery Center (RMHRC). The RMHRC is an inpatient facility offering a comprehensive range of behavioral health treatment programs. This is a unique opportunity to practice in Virginia’s first dedicated Psychiatric Emergency Department, a groundbreaking care model that has garnered recognition across the Commonwealth, including from the Governor’s Office, for its leadership in crisis mental health care. Position Highlights Flexible scheduling options : Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions available Full-time schedule: Block shifts—three 12-hour shifts per week Provide acute services for short-term psychiatric and medical care to adolescents and adults in crisis requiring emergency intervention Collaborate with a compassionate, multidisciplinary team to stabilize patients and transition them to appropriate levels of care Perform comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning Leverage Epic for seamless care coordination across inpatient and outpatient settings Be part of a large, integrated health system with strong physician leadership and robust support Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Why Riverside Become part of a physician-led, multidisciplinary team in a nationally recognized health system.
