Registered Nurse - Observation UnitLocation: Randallstown, MarylandAssignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend is required.Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care in the Observation Unit. This includes monitoring patients who do not meet inpatient criteria but require further testing and assessment. The RN will demonstrate expertise in cardiac telemetry, administer medications and blood products, and manage various patient conditions while adhering to established protocols.Responsibilities:Monitor and assess adult and geriatric patients in the Observation Unit.Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as prescribed.Utilize telemetry for on-unit monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms.Perform appropriate nursing interventions for stroke, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal patients.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.Document patient care activities in Cerner and maintain accurate records.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, specifically in a community hospital setting.Cardiac Telemetry and PCU/Stepdown experience preferred.Current Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission.Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Prophecy Relias Advanced EKG Assessment, and 4 hours of annual stroke CEUs.Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and management experience required.Why ARMStaffing?Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and moreOnboarding Made Easy: We handle physicals, titers, and more so you can focus on careClinical Support: In-house clinical team available to assist and advocate401k Retirement Plan: Eligible after waiting period; 4% match with 5% contributionRecruiter Matching: Get paired with a recruiter based on your location and specialtyExtras: Travel reimbursement, housing allowance, meals, referral bonuses, and moreWe're not the only ones who think ARMStaffing should be your first choice.
