Position Overview

The Admissions Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking treatment with our primary mental health program. This role is responsible for guiding prospective clients through the admissions process with professionalism, compassion, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in behavioral health treatment settings. While admissions experience is preferred, it is not required.

Shifts Available: 9:00am - 5:00pm, 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a knowledgeable and compassionate representative of the program when speaking with potential clients and their families.
• Provide clear and accurate information about program offerings, services, and expectations.
• Verify client eligibility and benefits for services.
• Collaborate with clinical team members to ensure client clinical appropriateness and secure necessary approvals.
• Communicate and collect patient responsibility/payment information as needed.
• Coordinate and schedule client physical intakes and facilitate smooth transitions into care.
• Document all interactions and maintain accurate records in accordance with company policies and compliance standards.
• Assist with maintaining strong relationships with referral sources, families, and external partners.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards in all admissions-related activities.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a behavioral health treatment setting is required.
• Previous admissions or intake experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with clients and families in sensitive situations.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems.
