Job Description:


- Are you a passionate Registered Nurse with a knack for urgent care?

Key Responsibilities:


- Provide Clinical Services: Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to ensure high-quality care and efficient resource utilization.
- Lead the Team: Offer guidance and direction to clinic staff for seamless operation of all clinic aspects, including patient care and front desk management.
- Maintain Inventory: Keep track of medication and supply inventories to ensure the clinic runs smoothly.
- Conduct Quality Checks: Perform necessary quality control checks for Point of Care tests.
- Document Care: Clearly and accurately document all care and services provided, maintaining professionalism and timeliness.
- Clinic Operations: Oversee the opening and closing of provider clinics, ensuring everything is in order.
- Anticipate Needs: Assist providers and staff by anticipating their needs to enhance patient care.
- Effective Communication: Foster collaboration with other departments for optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:


- License: Current, full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska is a must.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in urgent care.

Skills Needed:


- Knowledge of the nursing process and customer service principles.
- Strong understanding of safety and infection control practices.
- Proficient in assessment, specimen collection, and medical equipment usage.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player mentality, willing to teach and support colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Physical Demands:


- Must be able to talk or hear regularly.
- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting required.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Additional Information:


- This position is for travelers who live at least 100+ miles away from the work location.
- Travel and housing arrangements are the responsibility of the traveling nurse.
