Product Marketing Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the end-to-end product marketing strategy and execution across the innovation pipeline, from concept through launch. This role will partner to develop compelling product stories, guide strategic product positioning, and ensure successful global product launches. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a passion for innovation, and the ability to translate consumer and market insights into differentiated product marketing strategies. Essential Duties/Responsibilities/Functions Support the end-to-end product roadmap, including new product launches, ensuring all initiatives align with overall brand strategy and business objectives. Monitor market trends, consumer behaviors, competitive activity, and category innovations to identify opportunities that inform the innovation pipeline and long-term product vision. Lead the Claims Review Process as the primary Product Marketing liaison, ensuring product claims are accurate, substantiated, and aligned with brand and regulatory requirements. Serve as a strategic business partner to Product Development throughout the product lifecycle, providing marketing direction and consumer insights. Guide the development of Product Briefs to ensure alignment between product strategy, consumer needs, and brand objectives across all product categories. Partner with Product Development to develop and present new product launch concepts and recommendations to senior leadership. Conduct competitive pricing analyses and synthesize market intelligence from Ecommerce, Retail, International, Sales, and other key business channels to inform product strategy. Facilitate insight-led brainstorming sessions with Creative Marketing to generate innovative product concepts and campaign ideas. Collaborate with the Copy team to develop product-related communications, including product stories, naming architecture, packaging copy, product benefits, and claims. Oversee the development and distribution of Market Launch Toolkits that equip cross-functional teams with consistent product messaging and go-to-market resources. Partner with Product Development to support consumer research initiatives, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and product testing, to strengthen product positioning and category strategy. Develop elevated brand stories and compelling innovation narratives that bring new product concepts to life and foster meaningful consumer connections across global markets. Support the development of comprehensive product marketing strategies that clearly communicate product differentiation, key benefits, and unique value propositions. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent messaging and alignment throughout all phases of product commercialization. Present product strategies, launch plans, and market insights to leadership and key stakeholders. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Required Strong understanding of product marketing, brand strategy, product lifecycle management, and innovation processes. Demonstrated ability to translate consumer insights and market trends into successful product strategies and launches. Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Experience conducting competitive analyses and interpreting market and consumer data. Strong storytelling and communication skills with the ability to develop compelling product positioning and messaging. Exceptional presentation skills with experience communicating recommendations to senior leadership. Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Highly collaborative with the ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to influence without direct authority and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with market research and data visualization tools is a plus. Experience working in a consumer goods, beauty, wellness, personal care, or lifestyle brand environment preferred. Education And/Or Experience Required Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field required. Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Product Management, or Innovation Marketing. Experience supporting product development and commercialization from concept through launch. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Creative, Sales, Ecommerce, Retail, and international business partners. Experience developing product positioning, messaging frameworks, and go-to-market strategies. Consumer packaged goods (CPG), beauty, wellness, or related industry experience strongly preferred. MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Physical Requirements Walk/move on a variety of surfaces including tile, wood, concrete and carpet. Stand/remain upright; walk/move around building. Sit/remain seated up to 4 hours at a time. Reach down, forward and overhead. Turn and twist repetitively. Use a computer with dual monitors, keyboard and mouse constantly during entire shift. Use multiline telephone frequently during entire shift. Use general office equipment including 10-key calculator, copier, fax machine and printer regularly.
