ABOUT THIS ROLE

The  Collections Specialist  is responsible for assuring that payments are received from Ria Agents for past due/ defaulted balances stemming from their use of the RIA system.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• • Manage billing of outstanding Agent balances and escalate collection efforts as needed, up to and including External Collection Agencies (ECA) and Legal.
  • Contact Agents daily via phone and email to communicate outstanding balances and payment expectations.
  • Verify Agent account information and provide appropriate payment options.
  • Follow up on recovery of funds and communicate reactivation terms, when applicable.
  • Respond to incoming calls and resolve Agent inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Generate and provide payment receipts and account statements to Agents.
  • Accurately enter and maintain customer and account data in internal systems.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service at all times.
  • Meet or exceed recovery targets and call quality standards.
  • Handle calls efficiently and in accordance with established procedures, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve disputes, ensuring all parties are informed and issues are properly documented.
  • Manage challenging customer interactions with professionalism, tact, and firmness.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and determine the next appropriate steps based on account status.
  • Build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate persistence, self-motivation, empathy, assertiveness, and resilience.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Comfortable navigating multiple systems, applications, and products.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels, including Sales and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and accountability.
  • Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Ria Money Transfer offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The reasonable estimated pay for this role ranges from (228,000MXN to 228,000MXN).  Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Ria Money Transfer offers comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental and vision benefits, a 401(K) plan, Paid Vacation/ Sick Leave and more.
