This role involves providing specialized care for adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including cardiogenic shock, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and advanced therapies such as LVAD and heart transplants. The position features rotating day and night shifts, with scheduling designed to support continuous patient care. Job Details Position Description: ICU Cardiovascular RN Rotating day/night shifts, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend required. Required Qualifications: Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact State, BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS certification, minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, including experience with adult and geriatric patient populations, and familiarity with cardiology-specific procedures and equipment. Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, rotating between days (07:0019:00) and nights (19:0007:30). Additional Information: The role involves caring for patients with diagnoses such as cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, heart failure, and arrhythmias. Responsibilities include bedside procedures like line insertions, bronchoscopy, and temperature management, along with operating specialized equipment such as Impella, VAD, IABP, and CRRT. Floating within the specialty to lower acuity units may be required as needed. Compliance with vaccination requirements and onboarding procedures is mandatory.
