Responsible for culinary tasks within operations in the kitchen focusing on proper preparation, set-up, and execution of food items. Status:

Responsible for culinary tasks within operations in the kitchen focusing on proper preparation, set-up, and execution of food items. Status:
Reports to Deli Supervisor and Food Service Manager
Responsibilities:
- Perform many basic tasks of food preparation and organization in the kitchen.
- Prepares dishes following recipe specifications as assigned by cook supervisor.
- Ensures proper storage of daily deliveries and foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
- Follow food safety and sanitation regulations maintaining correct temperatures cooking, cooling, and storing.
- Ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained by following cleaning routines and thorough ongoing diligence during shift and in set-up and clean down procedures; clean designated work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Assists in other areas o f the store as necessary.
Education/Training:
- None
- Food Handling Certification Required (Within 6 months
- Customer service experience.
- Previous food experience a plus
- Experience working in a demanding, face-paced, retail environment.
- Communication skills - active listener and gives clear concise directions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
