Production Supervisor
ON SITE PERSONNEL GROUP INC
Position Overview: Production Manager: The company specializes in contract packaging, which is a sector of manufacturing that converts bulk product into its final retail packaging.
- Monday thru Friday position
- Some Saturdays required based on needs of customers, No Sundays
- Schedule currently is 9am - 6pm, but that is fluid as it may need to be adjusted due to training
- Lead a team of production line leaders and staff, with the key role to ensure maximum production efficiency while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
- Oversee several projects at once, so solid manufacturing knowledge, attention to detail, leading by example, team building, level-headed approach, adaptability, strong prioritization, and urgency are important attributes.
- Develops and oversees the process to successfully execute each project safely and effectively.
- Utilizes manufacturing and quality methodologies to develop production plans that efficiently manage resources (time, labor, budget, etc) and meet project specifications.
- Establishes regular communication with production, warehouse and project coordination team members to ensure projects run according to plan and fix issues as needed.
- Allocates people and material resources to support production operations.
- Work directly with the front line leaders and support teams to ensure production goals are achieved.
- Reviews daily production schedule and identifies actions to resolve anticipated production issues.
- Maintains high levels of project quality creating and enforcing organization quality standards in conjunction with the Quality department.
- Provide feedback to Operations Management
- Provide leadership and supervision of production employees across all shifts.
- Increases staff's effectiveness by training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; communicating values, strategies, and objectives.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the Production areas.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes high quality standards to all employees and guests who enter our building.
- Continued self-development in regard to training on new rules and regulations.
- Commitment to ensure the necessary time and resources are provided for the effective implementation of the quality system. Ensure and promote compliance to company safety guidelines as well as policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as required
- The ideal candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience in manufacturing, packaging or other related field.
- Fluency in speaking: (English and Spanish) preferred.
- Supervisory experience within manufacturing is preferred.
