Accounting Operations Manager

Role Summary The Accounting Operations Manager reports to the Associate Director of Accounting and serves as a central resource for month‑end close success, global reconciliations, and payroll activities while shaping how finance operates across the organization. Key Responsibilities Lead day‑to‑day accounting operations across North America with strict adherence to the Close calendar Manage and develop a team of offshore consultants, fostering collaboration, knowledge‑sharing, and a strong service mindset Own and strengthen SOX‑aligned internal controls, including journal entry reviews, balance sheet reconciliations, and quarterly fluctuation analyses Apply US GAAP rigor while identifying and remediating control gaps when needed Build analytical tools that inform leadership decisions and advance key business priorities Lead process improvement and automation initiatives that elevate accuracy, speed, and scalability Evaluate and realign workloads across the team to meet evolving business needs Conduct and enhance annual operating procedures with potential global impact Partner cross‑functionally and communicate with confidence at all levels of the organization Serve as the primary contact for global Concur reconciliation support and process improvements Act as the subject matter expert for the Dayforce payroll accounting system globally and support Dayforce implementation in all regions during the Go Live rollout to ensure global standardization Basic Requirements BS/BA or higher in accounting from an accredited university CPA required 2+ years of managing or supervising a team, including peer reviews 5+ years of accounting experience in a global company Strong SOX controls experience Experience with SAP and Blackline Preferred Requirements Efficient communication and interpersonal skills with superior business acumen Experience with the Dayforce payroll reporting platform Administrator experience with the Concur travel and expense platform Potential travel no more than once per quarter Location & Compensation Hybrid in our Parsippany, NJ office: 2‑3 days a week Competitive base salary range: $109,600 - $145,250 (subject to variation based on location and experience) Eligible for an annual bonus as part of the Total Rewards package Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage Retirement savings plans Paid time off Other benefits as outlined on the Careers page Embecta is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.We do not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, creed, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, marital or domestic or civil union status, familial status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetics, disability, military eligibility, veteran status, or any other protected status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
