Regular & FWSP Student Clerical - Psychology

Position Overview This is a regular student clerical position in which the student will perform computer and customer service‑related duties in an office setting. Typical duties may include but are not limited to typing, filing, answering telephones, customer service, scheduling appointments, and Microsoft Office experience. Hours per Week 15 hours per week. College/Department Overview The Psychology department functions as a pre-professional degree that prepares students to pursue a graduate education in psychology or related fields. Like any liberal arts degree it is also designed to provide a variety of experiences for a well‑rounded education. Graduates receive foundational education in statistical design, experimental psychology, physiology, learning and history. Job Functions Assist students, faculty, staff, employers, and community members with inquiries via phone, email, in‑person, and social media platforms. Perform basic troubleshooting regarding appointment scheduling, online platforms, and other services offered. Prepare images, graphics and posts for social media. Enrollment Requirements Fall/Spring Semesters: All student employees must be enrolled at least half‑time. Half‑time enrollment is 5 hours for graduates and 6 hours for undergraduates. International students must be enrolled full‑time (9 credit hours for graduates, 12 for undergraduates). Summer Semester: Regular student positions require at least 3 credit hours. FWSP positions require a minimum of 6 credits for undergraduates or 5 for graduates. Enrollment Exception: If credits needed to graduate are less than the employment minimum, obtain a letter from the Academic Advisor stating the number of hours needed and anticipated graduation date. Submit the letter to Human Resources. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills with ability to perform basic troubleshooting. Strong technology skills with ability to quickly learn new software programs. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Intercultural sensitivity. Good interpersonal skills.
