Summary Behavior Instructors (Registered Behavior Technicians, RBT) directly implement evidence-based intervention for children with autism, ages 18 months to 5 years, under the direction and supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Duties Directly implement evidence-based intervention for children with autism in our center in both clinic and classroom settings. Identify and capture naturally occurring learning opportunities throughout the day. Collect and graph data related to skill acquisition targets and maladaptive behaviors. Utilize positive reinforcement and antecedent modifications to increase appropriate behaviors. Utilize positive behavior support strategies when unwanted behaviors arise. Individualize instruction to accommodate a variety of learning styles. Provide timely written documentation. Communicate effectively and collaborate with all transdisciplinary team members (behavior analysts, classroom teachers, psychologist, speech pathologist, occupational therapist, parents, and fellow instructors).
