This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Three 12-hour shifts rotating between nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) and days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), with the possibility of varying shifts as needed to meet hospital operational requirements.

Job Description

The Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse will provide patient care in the acute care setting, potentially floating between designated units to care for patients within the same population. Nurses may also be responsible for the care of patients on ventilators as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population in a medical-surgical telehealth environment.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and ECMO rhythms, utilizing appropriate assessment techniques.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the specialty area.
• Must possess an active Ohio RN license or compact state equivalent.
• Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required at the time of submission.
• No background checks that reveal open cases or license issues will be accepted.
