Position Summary Safe Haven Defense US is seeking a new Senior Accountant in Arizona to maintain financial records and reports of the company, facilitate the month-end close process, perform account reconciliations, sales tax reporting, and oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This position will also assist the leadership with budgets and forecast and other general-ledger tasks. This is a salaried, exempt position (not eligible for overtime) and allows for 1 day to work from home. Job Duties Prepare monthly closing journal entries in Quickbooks. Maintain reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts. Reconcile vendor payables and customer receivables. Manage customer billing and collections. Ensure revenue and expenses are properly recorded in Quickbooks. Process and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliations. Manage vendor billing and payment remittance including overseeing the Accounting Coordinator with processing approved invoices in the accounting system and corresponding payments to vendors. Oversee the management of monthly company credit card reconciliations. Oversee multi-state sales tax processing and reconcile related sales tax liability accounts. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Responsible for generating monthly sales commission reports and statements. Support financial year-end audit and other reporting requests. Performs other related duties as assigned. Analytical thinker advanced problem-solving and time management skills Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software with advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel. Education, Experience And Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. Seven years of related accounting experience required in an equivalent role. 3-5 years of management experience. 3 years of experience working with sales tax. Demonstrated experience with accounting, HRIS and CRM software. Quickbooks, Miter and Hubspot preferred. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, drive, and/or walk for 2-10 hours per day. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer for 2-8 hours per day. Physical capability to perform tasks involving frequent standing, sitting, walking, driving, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, twisting, reaching, climbing, finger and foot control, writing and repetitive handling/grasping. Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects with the human body occasionally. Hearing and speaking ability sufficient to carry on a conversation with another individual (or groups of individuals) in person, over the telephone, and virtual video communication applications. Visual ability sufficient to read and produce printed material and information displayed on a computer screen.
