Senior Philanthropic Advisor

Overview At U.S. Bank, we help clients make smarter financial decisions and empower communities to succeed. We are looking for a dedicated Philanthropic Advisor to build and manage relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals and families. Responsibilities Serve as the primary philanthropic advisor for selected high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth relationships within a defined geographic region. Work with senior relationship team members to meet clients’ philanthropic, wealth, estate, and transfer planning needs. Develop new and expand existing wealth‑management relationships focused on private foundations, endowments, planned‑giving programs, and other charitable entities. Travel as required to provide services in the defined territory. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 10 or more years of functional experience, preferably in consulting, accounting, law, corporate fiduciary, or nonprofit organization. Professional designation that may include, but is not limited to: JD, MBA, CPA, CTFA, CFP, Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy, Impact Philanthropy Advisor, Certified Specialist in Planned Giving, Certified 2164 Trainer, or Graduate of National Trust School Program. Preferred Skills Broad knowledge of philanthropic, fiduciary, tax, and estate planning disciplines. Experience drafting or reviewing charitable, estate, business, or other planning documents for clients with net worth exceeding $10 million. Well‑developed communication, analytical, problem‑solving skills, along with tact, diplomacy, and people skills.
