Security Officer Part Time Access Control Patrol

As a Security Officer Part Time Access Control Patrol in Westfield, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping maintain a welcoming environment for shoppers and team members. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed05:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Thur05:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Fri05:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter.
Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel to help deter loss and disruptions.
Assist with access control, customer and employee interactions, and traffic or parking-area observations as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
