Software Test Engineer 1

We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team.Job Title: Software Test Engineer 1Location(s): Johnson City, TN Work Schedule:09:00 AM – 05:00 PM.Onsite initially for training and onboarding.Potential for a hybrid schedule after successful completion of training and demonstrated performance.Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.Requirements:Entry-level Software/Firmware Test Engineer.Proficiency in C# programming.Willingness to learn new technologies and tools.Knowledge of firmware testing for complex embedded runtime environments.Experience with industrial automation systems is preferred.Experience with motion control systems, I/O modules, and related automation hardware is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail.Self-motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Responsibilities:Execute functional testing of industrial automation products.Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze requirements and develop test cases.Evaluate requirement testability and provide feedback during development.Identify, document, and communicate software defects, technical issues, and design concerns.Work closely with developers, technical writers, support engineers, project managers, and QA teams throughout the product lifecycle.Support testing activities for embedded software and firmware in industrial automation environments.Additional Information:Dayforce is used for timekeeping.Initial onsite presence is required for training.
