Job Summary:
Medical Surgical (MS) with Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in an acute care facility. The role involves providing high-quality bedside care to adult and geriatric patients on a medical-surgical unit utilizing a Virtual Nursing Model. The assignment offers flexibility in shift preference, with the opportunity to work nights and participate in a collaborative, team-based care environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; at least 1 year of clinical experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; skills include patient interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and PPE/Isolation precautions.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care, or oxygen therapy is advantageous.
• Float: Float to like units may be required within scope of practice.
• Additional Information: The unit is a 34-bed medical-surgical unit utilizing a co-care/virtual nursing model which includes bedside RNs, virtual RNs, and CNAs. The virtual RN assists with admissions, discharges, education, and coordination with healthcare teams. Candidates must have an AK RN license in hand prior to Auto Offer; pending licenses are acceptable if in hand for Auto Offer. The assignment starts on 10/19/2026 and concludes on 01/18/2027, with an initial orientation of approximately 12 hours. Candidates are expected to work 3 of 5 major holidays, and options for time off must be included in the initial submittal.
