Pay Range Pay Range $62,400 - $63,800 Pay rates at Syracuse University are based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, the job responsibilities; the candidate’s education, training, work experience and key competencies; the university’s strategic priorities; internal peer equity; applicable federal, state, local laws, grant funding and contractual requisites; and external market analyses. Job Type Job Type Full-time Unionized Position Code Not Applicable Job Description To provide quality comprehensive care for Competitive Club Sport students through prevention, evaluation, care and treatment of injuries and illnesses and assist with injury rehabilitation. Screening and referral of club sport participants to physicians at the Barnes Center when appropriate. Serve as the certified athletic trainer for Club Sports including practice and home game coverage. Compile and maintain injury and treatment documentation for Syracuse University medical staff. Assist with upkeep of the facilities, emergency equipment and modalities. Communicate with Competitive Club Sports staff on various issues, including student-athlete status, restrictions and treatment/rehabilitation appointment compliance. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in health related field (Master’s preferred) Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Registered athletic trainer in the State of New York CPR Certified Skills and Knowledge NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer CPR Certified Responsibilities Serve as a certified athletic trainer for competitive club sports student-athletes and teams. Provide quality comprehensive care for student-athletes through prevention, evaluation, care and treatment of injuries and illnesses, and assist with injury rehabilitation. Provide coverage for practices and competitions. Assist with concussion testing and return to play protocols. Compile and maintain injury and treatment documentation including injury tracking and reporting. Assist with electronic medical records.
