Title
ICU RN - Intensive Care Unit

Schedule
- Weekends: Yes - every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per contract)
- Orientation: 12 hours

Assignment Details

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year ICU experience required (compact license must be in hand at submission)
- Preferred: 2-3 years ICU experience with cardiac and neuro experience; general surgery and trauma experience requested
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience with charting (any charting system)
- Core clinical skills:
- Dysrhythmia recognition/management and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips
- Arterial line and central line management
- Ventilator care and suctioning (ETT/NT), BiPAP/CPAP management
- ABG interpretation and continuous IV sedation
- Familiarity with CRRT and advanced cardiac support devices (ECMO/Impella/IABP)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults in an intensive care setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
- Manage advanced cardiac and respiratory therapies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about care plans and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Compliance / Notes
- Compact state license required at submission.
- Background checks and references: 2 required covering 1 year within the last 3 years (can include charge RNs/leads).
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 specified holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
- Dress code: Solid navy blue uniforms/scrubs for licensed nursing personnel.
- Parking: Free in unrestricted employee/visitor surface lots.
